| It is always better to have a separate amplifier in your car. an amplifier with 25 watts x 4 will player louder and cleaner than most head units with equal power. separate amplifiers are built to do one thing, make your system sound better and louder. a head unit on the other hand does many different things, such as tune in stations, play tapes, control cds, memorize preset stations, etc... when you have this many things to do it is difficult to put the best amplifier inside of a head unit.... but when you have a separate amp that specializes in one thing, powering your system, it will sound better. |
